Our History
Chicken Essential Ph., Inc. is a poultry integrator which was born out of a desire to support the farming sector in the province of Iloilo which gradually extended to the neighboring provinces in the Visayas. It is the owner’s love and devotion to Agriculture, the people and the society that propelled the company to form its core in the height of a crisis.
It all started in 2012, when spouses Mr. Peter Patrick and Nanette Yap decided to formalize its entry to the Poultry Industry in Iloilo. A couple of months after Super Typhoon Yolanda ravaged our country in November 8, 2013, the company established its Broiler Contract Growing Operations in Ormoc City, Leyte… and the rest is history.
Chicken Essential Ph., Inc. prides itself in the owner’s values of Humility and Integrity as if partnered with the best in the field.
To-date, the company serves several well-known institutions such as Major Supermarket Chains, Local Supermarket Outlets, Fine Dining and Local Restaurants, National Restaurant Chains, International and Local Hotel Chains, Popular Rotisseries, and Wet Markets in Visayas and Mindanao through its Live Dealers and Dressed Distributors. The Company is continuously working its way on delivering its commitment to the people and its business partners.
Presently, the company is vent on expanding further its business through its “Key Process Integration” program and “Value-Added Products and Service Innovation.”

The Birth of CEPI at a glance.
1) 2013– Spouses Peter Patrick and Nanette Yap helped Business Partners in Leyte ravaged by Super Typhoon Yolanda to re-build their Poultry Farms
2) 2014, Chicken was established in Iloilo City, followed by Ormoc City
3) 2015, Dressed Sales group partnered with Robinsons Supermarket in May 2015 and Puremeat Marketing for Wet Market segment.
4) 2016, CEPI entered Negros Occidental
5) 2017, CEPI in Negros Oriental and Cebu also enters Hotels, Restaurants & Institutional accounts segment. This bring to fruition the direction of CEPI to be the KEY PLAYER or Supplier of Dressed Chicken in the Regions
5) 2018 – President & CEO Patrick Yap approves of the establishment of owned Feed Mill Plant
6) 2023 – Expanded Operations in Mindanao Region.
